As you may know, effectively staging your home for sale has many advantages. In fact, studies show that a well-staged property will tend to sell faster and for a higher price compared to similar listings that are not staged.
But, what if you’re too busy or you need to sell your home on a tight schedule? How do you make time for staging? Consider these tips:
1. Hire a professional stager. Getting a staging professional to do some or all of the work for you is an obvious time-saver. Sure, it costs money, but you’ll probably get it back, and more, from the sale of your home.
2. Get advice. If you plan on doing the staging yourself, seek advice on what to do. That way, you won’t be wasting time and effort on unnecessary tasks. You will, instead, be focusing on precisely what needs to be done.
3. Stage just on the main floor. The main floor is where buyers tend to make most of their judgements about your home. So, if you’re staging in a pinch and can’t do the entire house, at least do the main floor. That’s where your staging efforts will have the biggest impact.
If you’re really stuck for time, do at least some staging. The more you’re able to do, the better your property will show.
